1st Assistant Accountant
Job description
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented 1st Assistant Accountant to join our production accounting team on a scripted episodic television series based in the NYC area. The ideal candidate is a strong team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to support and manage a team in a fast-paced production environment.
- Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting office
- Review and process invoices, purchase orders, and check requests
- Assist with cost reporting, budgeting, and cash flow management
- Serve as a resource for crew members with accounting questions
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all financial documentation and studio procedures
- Jump in wherever needed to support the team
- Proficiency in SmartAccounting, V5, and CASHét Pay
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage and mentor a team
- Friendly, professional demeanor and team-first attitude
- Must be local to NYC area or able to work on-site
$2600 / per week (DOE)
