Bookkeeper for Documentary Director
Job description
Our small friendly team seeks a remote bookkeeper with industry experience.
If you are able to (1) do fine detailing on a backlog of books from 2025, and (2) start bookkeeping regularly for 2026, we would love (and be so relieved) to have you join us.
These two years are our busiest yet, with multiple inter/national projects in development, production, and post.
Historically we used Quick Books Desktop yet recently we did a first-draft-transfer to QB Online. As we find our footing in this next chapter, we imagine QBO will suit us best—but if you have experience and recommend otherwise, we are open to learning.
We think this position is paid hourly, but we're open. Seeking someone who is understanding, runs a tight ship, and can adapt to our team's and industry's unique ebbs and flows.

+ Tidy the books for 2025
+ Collaborate with our tax accountant, possibly filing a tax extension depending on time needed to organize the backlog
+ Bookkeep for 2026, including:
- Review accounts for expenses
- Collect and organize receipts
- Prepare invoices for expense reimbursements from clients, in collaboration with the Director's Assistant.
- Stay on top of our director's payment schedules per each project's deal memo
- Tag team with the Director's Assistant to ensure director fees are accurately run through payroll and the DGA for P&H.
$30 / per hour
