We are a tiny production company focusing largely on unscripted series and commercial production. We only do a few projects per year, and we're looking for a bookkeeper who can translate "creative brain" excel tracking into our quickbooks file. We employ a CPA who will file our quarterly taxes, but he'll depend on your online quickbooks data entry expertise. Most months we only have 50-100 transactions to enter, but when we are in production a few times a year, the line producer will pay all the bills and send them to you for tracking. We're open to better work flows, but this is very much a "work at your pace and schedule" sort of a gig.
Utilize our current Quickbooks online excel file to record current expenses.
Compare the line producer prepared excel cost tracker with the bank activity and highlight any discrepancies for resolution prior to entering in QB.
Ensure vendors are set up properly from our database of w9s so they flag properly for end of year 1099s
Provide advice/support to line producer as needed for cost reporting
This isn't a hard or time consuming job, but it does require a level of patience to work on the producers schedules.
$200 - $300/week depending on workload
