We are seeking an experienced Key 2nd Assistant Accountant to join the accounting team on a scripted Amazon feature.
The ideal candidate:
-Someone with a strong background in TV & Film, preferably including major scripted features, and has prior experience as a Key 2nd Assistant Accountant
-Is proficient with PSL / Cast & Crew, DPO, and Cashet
-Has strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.
-Is punctual, reliable, accountable, and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced production environment.
-Is comfortable overseeing junior staff while maintaining a collaborative and supportive approach.
-Communicates clearly and professionally with both the accounting department and production.
-Is willing to work collaboratively and jump in wherever the accounting team needs support.
-Brings a true all-hands-on-deck mentality—no task is considered too small when it needs to get done.
-Takes initiative and is comfortable recognizing what needs to be done rather than always waiting to be asked.
-Is interested in continuing to grow and take on additional responsibility within the accounting department as opportunities arise.
Responsibilities:
-Oversee, guide, and review the work of two Junior 2nd Assistant Accountants.
-Help establish and maintain efficient accounting workflows and ensure tasks are completed accurately and on schedule.
-Review and follow up on invoices, purchase orders, receipts, expense reports, and other production accounting documentation.
-Assist with accounts payable processing, coding, vendor setup, and payment tracking.
-Work within PSL / Cast & Crew, DPO, and Cashet systems.
-Manage the opening and closing of P-cards as well as production expense tracking and reconciliation.
-Help monitor outstanding items, resolve discrepancies, and follow up with vendors and production personnel.
-Support the 1st Assistant Accountant with month-end close, reconciliations, accruals, and other accounting tasks as needed.
-Communicate effectively with production staff, vendors, crew, and other members of the accounting department.
-Help train and mentor junior accounting staff and serve as a reliable resource for questions and troubleshooting.
-Maintain organized records and ensure accounting documentation is complete and audit-ready.
-Step in to assist with other areas of production accounting when priorities shift or additional support is needed.
$2,400 / per week
