Post Production Assistant Accountant
Job description
CBS Studios Post Production Accounting is looking for a detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join our team. This is a hands-on role supporting the full lifecycle of production accounting across a concurrent portfolio of shows, with a strong emphasis on show closeout, bank administration, and accounts payable. You'll work directly with senior accountants and department leadership in a fast-paced, digitally forward environment where AI tools are a core part of how we work — not a bonus skill.
• Prepare show close topsheets and supporting reconciliation packages for productions completing their run
• Administer and close out production bank accounts, including final reconciliations, outstanding check resolution, and account closure coordination
• Assist with accounts payable functions including invoice coding, entry, and vendor follow-up
• Prepare and process multi-currency journal entries with accuracy and proper documentation
• Coordinate the shipment of final physical production boxes as the department completes its transition to 100% digital filing
• Utilize AI-assisted tools as part of daily workflows — this is an active and essential part of the role, not optional
• Support the broader post production accounting team with various tasks including filing, vendor outreach and payment deposits.
$1,500- $1,600 / per week
