Position: 

Assistant for our Production Finance Team at Big Indie Pictures, a NYC based Film & Television Production Company.

Starting salary & benefits: 

Starting Salary and Benefits: $1,850/week. Salary includes PTO (vacation, holidays, personal days) + Health Benefits (medical, dental, vision). This is a non-union position.

Primary responsibilities: 

Assist our in-house team of prep and post accountants and finance managers. Tasks would include: digital approval management; electronic filing, cashet entry, accounts payable entry, and assisting with year-end reporting requirements. Our team manages development, writer’s room and post production accounting on multiple feature films and series with budgets ranging from $5M to over $200M.

Required job experience and skills sets:

Great communication skills and an ability to work well as a team member. Excellent multitasking skills and good organization. An ability to be a self-starter and to take tasks through to completion. Prior production accounting clerk or second assistant experience required. Familiarity with PSL+ and Smart Accounting required.

Notes: 

Big Indie’s clients include Amazon/MGM Studios, Searchlight Pictures, Riot Games, and a host of independent production companies. Big Indie personnel all have backgrounds in physical production and production accounting. Our offices are located in midtown Manhattan.

Ideal candidates for this position would be:  

A 2nd assistant on feature films and television shows. Someone who is looking for a new job opportunity at a growth focused company, and/or a lifestyle change from freelance work to an "in house" position with a predictable work schedule and income. This is a hybrid position. We are looking for a New York based candidate who would be available to come to our office in midtown 1 – 2 times per week and work remotely the rest of the time. We are looking to have someone start in mid-July.
