Production Finance Coordinator (Non-Union)
Job description
This role is an early-career opportunity within Production Finance, designed for someone looking to build a long-term career in animation accounting.
Working under the guidance of the Sr Production Accountant, the Production Finance Coordinator supports the day-to-day financial operations of production. This role is responsible for ensuring that all required documentation, approvals, and inputs are complete and accurate to enable timely payroll processing, vendor payments, and cost tracking.
We are looking for candidates who are intentional about building a career in production finance. This role is best suited for those aiming to become a Production Accountant or Payroll Accountant and who are eager to develop hand-on expertise in payroll, cost management, and financial systems.
Review and validate data in GreenSlate, ensuring accuracy across timecards, onboarding, and vendor records
Support weekly payroll processing by tracking and collecting crew, talent, and freelance timecards (including 839, SAG-AFTRA, 700, and non-union), ensuring completeness and accuracy prior to submission
Prepare and maintain ATL start paperwork, contracts, deal memos, and other documentation required for payroll and accounts payable processing
Process accounts payable, including vendor setup, tax form collection (W-9s), invoice review, and payment tracking
Ensure all financial documentation is properly organized and audit-ready
Track commitments, and invoices to support accurate cost tracking
Assist with coding expenses and preparing journal entry support for review by the Production Accountant
Maintain organized digital filing systems for all production finance records
Partner closely with the Production Accountant to support month-end close deliverables and reporting needs
Assist in responding to audit requests and internal reporting needs
