Staff Production Accountant
Job description
This role supports production accounting throughout prep, production, and post-production. Responsibilities include assisting with tax incentive documentation and related processes, supporting payroll processing and reconciliation, and preparing and maintaining cost reports and bank reconciliations. The position also handles ad hoc financial reporting and other production accounting needs while partnering closely with the Production Management and Finance teams to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient financial operations.
The ideal candidate will have two to three years of production accounting experience, preferably in unscripted television, along with familiarity with film and television tax incentives. A bachelor’s degree is preferred. Candidates should have strong Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace skills, as well as working knowledge of GreenSlate or a similar production accounting platform.
This role requires excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and close attention to detail. The successful candidate will be collaborative, eager to learn, and comfortable working independently and taking initiative. They must also be able to solve problems, manage multiple projects under pressure, prioritize effectively, and remain focused in a fast-paced production environment.
