Rate Finder Sneak Peek

“Rate Finder Sneak Peek” gave attendees an early look at Wrapbook’s new web-based tool for looking up union rates, titles, guarantees, and more, two weeks before its public release on August 28th. The session included a hands-on demo where attendees could explore the tool’s search and filter functionality, personalized saved wages in the "my project" tab, and other key features. We also shared our plans for expanded rates and additional functionality in future updates. Attendees asked thoughtful questions and provided valuable feedback, sharing their hopes, opinions, and suggestions.

The discussion was lively and collaborative, making the session an engaging and informative preview for the community the tool was built for.

September is here, which means it’s time to swap our sandals for boots, sprinkle pumpkin spice on everything, and reflect on the summer.

At Wrapbook, we’re celebrating a milestone season for our free production accounting community, Room Tone. This summer, we rolled out live virtual events—a new way to learn, share knowledge, and connect with each other every month. The response was incredible, with thoughtful questions, lively discussions, and amazing participation from all of you.

If you missed any of them, here’s a quick recap of what we hosted.

Live Resume Review

Emily Rice and I book-ended the summer in Room Tone with two “Resume Review” sessions. These small, hands-on events offered practical guidance on resume formatting, tips for crafting strong application emails, and personalized feedback on resumes submitted by attendees.

After each session, we invited participants to share updated versions of their resumes based on our live feedback, and Emily and I continued to review and refine them until they felt send-ready. This event is highly personalized to each group of registrants, making it incredibly valuable and one that I genuinely love hosting.

Hot Costs 101 with Ida Lee

“Hot Costs 101 with Ida Lee” quickly became one of our most popular sessions of the summer. Ida Lee brought her years of expertise to the table, guiding attendees through how to create and manage a hot cost, how and when to use them, and answering questions from the group.

This session was full of practical insights, thoughtful discussion, and lively engagement, leaving everyone feeling more confident in navigating this essential part of production accounting.

Room Tone 101

“Room Tone 101” offered a comprehensive introduction to the community for both new and longtime members. The session covered what Room Tone is, how to apply and join, and the basics of navigating Slack. Attendees learned about key channels, how to use Huddles for real-time conversations, and practical tips and tricks for getting the most out of the community.

The session was interactive and informative, and participants were able to test features and ask questions afterward to feel confident connecting and engaging with peers.
