We’re incredibly proud to have welcomed 1,000 members in our first year, and we know we’re just getting started. Over the past 12 months, we’ve shared 180 job postings, hosted six in-person events in Los Angeles and New York, and launched our newest offering: live virtual events.
Looking ahead, you can expect all of this and more. With the collaboration of seasoned production accountants like Emily Rice and Ida Lee, we’re expanding our virtual events into many new series full of great insights and discussion (we had a great Resume Review session in May!). We also plan to bring in-person events to even more cities and continue to grow our community in Room Tone—a platform where a wide range of voices and experiences in production accounting can be shared.

With more people comes more knowledge, more support, and more opportunities and now’s the perfect time to jump in! We have more virtual events coming this summer, and of course, the #jobs channel is always updated with early access to job listings from The List.
So here’s to one year of Room Tone, and to many more to come!
See you in Slack.
Room Tone just turned one—and we’re celebrating a major milestone: 1,000 members strong!
In just a year, this community has grown into a vibrant space for production accountants to connect, learn, and support one another across every kind of project and production. As we celebrate, we’re taking a moment to reflect on where we started, what we’ve built together, and what’s next for this growing community.
Room Tone is a free Slack community hosted by Wrapbook, created exclusively for production accountants. From clerks to controllers, everyone’s welcome to:
We launched Room Tone to fill a gap—a consistent “third space” where you can find community whether you’re between gigs or buried mid-show. It’s not work, and it’s not home. It’s something better: real connection, whenever you need it.
We know that alternatives exist, but Room Tone was built to be something better.
Room Tone is:
And yes, early job access is a huge perk. Thanks to Emily Rice’s The List, Room Tone’s #jobs channel gives members a five-hour head start on listings before they hit the public board.
So whether you're here to network, keep up with industry trends and best practices, or just quietly observe (for now), there's a place for you in this community.
