We’ve been hard at work improving the platform. Below are a few updates that rolled out recently to the Wrapbook product.
So we’re pleased to announce that companies can now onboard employees directly on Wrapbook - without the employees ever using Wrapbook themselves. This can be necessary across complex productions and is a useful tool for catering to cast and crew who are unable to onboard themselves.
You can hire, set payment methods, update tax information and run payroll without your employee inputting their information themselves. You also now have the ability to edit the details that your employees enter so that if they wish to change their witholdings, your production coordinator can do it for them.
You can now manage contractors on Wrapbook as easily as you manage employees.
Every time that you hire a person, you can elect if they will be hired as a contractor or as an employee. If they are hired as an employee - Wrapbook serves as the employer of record, and they are covered with pay-as-you-go workers’ compensation.
If you hire a contractor, your company serves as the employer of record, making your company responsible for employment classification and workers compensation.
Payments for both employees and contractors flow end-to-end through Wrapbook so that your company has the flexibility of managing and tracking your workers all in one place.
While Wrapbook digital payments are secure, convenient and fast, many workers prefer and are sometimes required to be paid via a check.
Luckily, checks just got an upgrade. Checks, now only take 4 business days to be received and they just got a little prettier as well.
Paystubs are now attached to payment notification emails. This helps employees to easily see how much they got paid and have more transparency into the taxes that were taken out of their paychecks.
We hope these updates make your life easier.
