In 2025, we launched our virtual events in Room Tone. Our webinars and chats brought production accountants together to learn, ask questions, and share real-world insights.
The topics that resonated the most featured day-to-day concepts, offered clarity on complex areas of the job, and gave members a chance to get direct feedback from industry experts.
Our quarterly “Resume Review” quickly became a community favorite with concrete take-aways. Each session covered the essentials of applying to production accounting roles, from resume formatting to application emails. Additionally, real resumes submitted by attendees were reviewed with real-time feedback.
If you are preparing for your next opportunity, this is an event you won’t want to miss in 2026.
This casual Q&A was a special nod to our payroll accountants. Amy Winfrey brought her deep experience from working on major feature films and answered everything from high-level concepts to very detailed, situational SAG-AFTRA payroll questions. This session also inspired us to create the #payroll channel in Room Tone as a dedicated space for payroll accountants.
One of the most popular events of the year, “Hot Costs 101” offered a comprehensive look at a high-level topic that every production accountant has heard of, but few have hands-on experience with.
Ida Lee Henderson walked attendees through a sample hot cost sheet, explained how to approach daily updates, and clarified who relies on the information and why. Whether participants were new to hot costs or looking to refine their process, this session delivered clear takeaways and practical steps, leaving everyone ready for more.
As we move into 2026, we plan to build on these formats, expand the range of topics, and continue offering events that meet the real needs of working production finance professionals.
Room Tone’s 2025 programming was shaped by generous industry experts whose experience elevated every conversation. Their guidance, stories, and practical advice strengthened the community and offered insights that members continued to reference long after each event concluded.
Ida Lee Henderson, Emily Rice, and Amy Winfrey were at the heart of many of our most successful sessions. From hot costs to payroll to career navigation, they brought clarity to complex workflows and shared knowledge that only seasoned professionals can offer. Their dedication to supporting the next generation of production accountants exemplifies what makes this community so valuable.
Looking ahead to 2026, we are already in discussions with other industry professionals to expand the breadth and depth of our topics. Mentorship continues to be at the heart of Room Tone, and we are always looking for more experts to help host events. If you or someone you know would be interested in contributing, please let us know.
We’re kicking off next year with a chat on production incentives, and we can’t wait to share more sessions in the months ahead.
In 2025, we celebrated a major milestone—Room Tone hit 1,000 members!
As our community expands, we’re proud to offer a dedicated Slack space built for clarity, accessibility, and real-time connection. By organizing channels around specific topics and workflows, Room Tone gives production accountants a professional environment where they can ask questions, share knowledge, and collaborate without the noise of a traditional social platform.
Maintaining a safe and supportive space is central to who we are, which is why every application is hand-reviewed to ensure members are actively working in production accounting. This extra step keeps conversations focused, relevant, and rooted in shared experience.
Throughout the year, members who joined our live webinars and virtual events shared how much they valued the sense of collaboration, learning, and growth within the community. Their feedback reflects what we hoped Room Tone would become: a place where production finance professionals can strengthen their skills, support one another, and navigate the industry’s shifting landscape together.
2025 was filled with meaningful conversations, shared learning, and supportive connections across the Room Tone community. Every question, reply, and interaction contributed to making Room Tone a trusted and safe space for production accountants at every stage of their careers.
In 2026, Room Tone will continue building on that momentum with more intimate gatherings and topic-focused meetups designed to strengthen connections and foster collaboration. Members can look forward to new webinars, expanded learning opportunities, and more ways to connect with seasoned experts and peers.

Here’s to an even more connected, supportive, and inspiring year ahead.
2025 was the year that Room Tone truly came into its own.
What started as a niche space for production accounting pros has grown into a thriving community of more than 1,000 members across Slack, a place where conversations flow, questions get answered, and support shows up fast.
This year brought no shortage of change and industry-wide uncertainty, but Room Tone became a steady anchor. Members connected across dedicated channels for community, learning, and troubleshooting, and our integration of The List in the #jobs channel made it easier than ever to stay up-to-date on new opportunities.
Throughout 2025, a few themes consistently rose to the top: ongoing conversations about the state of the industry, thoughtful discussions around payroll, and an endless stream of advice as people navigated the shifting landscape.
