Project Criteria
- Must promote tourism in Orange County.
- Must apply prior to principal photography.
- Must include Orange County hotel room nights.
- Must provide documentation demonstrating efforts to hire local cast and crew like job postings, union inquiries. Only Orange County residents will count towards qualifying expenditures.
- Hire five qualified students or qualified graduates from film related programs in Orange County (college, university or technical school). Must provide documentation showing proof of the Qualified Student or Qualified Graduate. Only Orange County students and graduates will count towards qualifying expenditures
- If the awardee sets up production offices and/or soundstages, they must be based in Orange County.
TV and Film Incentive:
- Promotes tourism in Orange County.
- Must include Orange County hotel room nights.
- Recognition of Orange County and municipal locations in the credits and scripts/visuals if using Orange County or municipalities in the story.
- Evidence of creation and posting/distribution of social media, videos and marketing materials that showcase local locations, testimonials by talent about ease of working here, marketing materials and videos.
- Must provide documentation demonstrating efforts to hire local cast and crew like job postings, and union inquiries. Only Orange County residents will count towards qualifying expenditures.
- Hire five qualified students or qualified graduates from film related programs in Orange County (college, university or technical school). Must provide documentation showing proof of the Qualified Student or Qualified Graduate. Only Orange County students and graduates will count towards qualifying expenditures.

Additional Information
Commercials can qualify for a 10% rebate. To qualify, a commercial must spend at least $250,000 in the county. The rebate is capped at $50,000 per project.
TV and film projects can qualify for a 20% rebate. To qualify, TV and film projects must spend at least $400,000 in the county. The rebate is capped at $1,000,000 per project.
