Project Criteria
TIER 1:
• Minimum overall budget of $1,000,000
• Minimum qualified spend of $500,000 in Chatham County
• There is a project cap of $100,000 per project
• Projects can qualify for an additional bonus of $10,000 by meeting the local crew requirement outlined under Additional Bonuses.
TIER 2:
• Minimum overall budget of $4,000,000
• Minimum qualified spend of $1,000,000 in Chatham County
• Project cap of $175,000 per project
• Projects can qualify for an additional bonus of $25,000 by meeting the local crew requirement outlined under Additional Bonuses.
Television series or internet-distributed episodic productions can qualify by meeting the following requirements:
• Minimum five episodes
• Minimum budget of $5 million per series
• Minimum qualified spend of $1,000,000 in Chatham County per series
• There is a project cap of $300,000 per project
• Projects can qualify for an additional bonus of $25,000 by meeting the local crew requirement outlined under Additional Bonuses.
For all projects:
• The project’s main production office must be located in Chatham County.
• 50% of shooting days must be within 60 miles of the City Hall of Savannah.
• Must meet with Savannah Regional Film Commission before applying
• Must add SRFC’s Executive Director and Manager of Operations to distro list during preproduction and production. Including: Call Sheets, Crew Lists, Vendors’ List, Script, Shooting Schedules, Safety Memos, Location Notification Letters and all memos and correspondence pertaining to the Chatham County community
• Must provide all necessary documentation for audit of application (including THE LEDGER AND EXHIBITS) within 120 days of the completion of principal photography.
• The project must display the Savannah Regional Film Commission logo in its end credits, immediately after the Georgia logo.

Additional Bonuses
• $10,000 for Tier 1 features and TV pilots
• $25,000 for Tier 2 features and TV pilots and all qualified TV series or internet-distributed episodic productions

How to Apply
Feature film and television pilot applicants can qualify only once per year unless the budget exceeds $15,000,000. An applicant will be considered the same for rebate purposes if the entity actually entitled to receive the rebate shares any common ownership, corporate officers or other verifiable affiliation with a previous applicant.
Applicants must meet with Savannah Regional Film Commission before applying.

Additional Information
Qualified above-the-line expenses include airfare, hotels, per diems, expenses for assistants to directors and producers, day players, and casting fees on day players.
A production can qualify for the rebate as a pilot or as a series but not for both in the same calendar year.
The fund is administered on a first-come, first-served basis combined with senior SEDA staff approval of the production.
