Project Criteria
At least 50% of the project’s filming days must occur within Franklin County.
Applicants are required to provide an estimated economic impact analysis, utilizing the Association of Film Commissioners International (AFCI) formula or a similar methodology, and review it with Film Columbus.
Applicants must demonstrate the financial capacity to undertake and complete the project by providing documentation that confirms secured funding of at least 50% of the total production budget. Acceptable documentation includes bank statements showing the necessary balance or signed investor contracts.
To be eligible to apply, applicants must have the ability to provide an audit report or a detailed spreadsheet accompanied by receipts for all qualifying expenses within Franklin County.
Each company is permitted to submit only one application per project.
Must apply as an LLC or corporation registered to do business in Ohio.
Producer fees or rates may not exceed 50% of the project’s total budget.
